How Humanity should view COVID-19

𝐅𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐓𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡𝐭💭

◌When Covid-19 struck the world, what were your automatic thoughts? “I have to protect my family at all costs”, “will I ever see my friends again?”, “but what about my job? Will I ever get my job back?” the list goes on and on...You’re definitely right, those thoughts have crossed someone’s mind at some point or another when our country became a ghost town...

◌We lost everything, as so it seems. Emotions crowded the streets of our chaotic minds making it seem like faith was all we had left. Our lives became a never ending cycle of repetitive behaviors every waking moment. The new normal was waking up 5 mins before class started, just to stare at a screen and pray you retained all the information. Technology powered our lives more than ever.

◌The real question that I come to ask you is-How is your mental health and are you okay? As an individual who suffers from severe ADHD, anxiety and mild depression, I have to constantly check in with myself to make sure I am healthy. Not only mentally, but emotionally and physically. The moment I stop caring about all of that, my whole life falls out of place. Making it seem as if I am at a dead end and the only way out is going in reverse and referring back to the past. By putting ourselves first, we can put the car back in drive and keep moving forward.

◌We need to treat the coronavirus like it’s only a dead end and they’re ways out of it. YOU CAN AND YOU WILL be able find the drive to discover joy and happiness again. Have faith knowing that that the One that pulled you from the clay is molding you into this STRONG, POWERFUL and CONFIDENT conqueror. He wants you to find ways out of this roadblock. You may ask yourself “but what if I can’t?” The answer is TRUST. Trust knowing that God can and will put you at ease. There is no need to be in fear or worry when He’s got you in the palm of His hands.❤️
